Prom Time

April means that you are right on time for planning your high school prom decorations. While the staff of www.BallroomBalloons.com is certainly biased in our love for balloon decor, we feel obligated to warn off schools who are considering the card board do-it-yourself kits that look sooooo good in photos. Year after year we hear the horror stories of hours of labor and tons of money that go to waste because many of these kits are simply too hard to assemble. So, buyer BEWARE!

Ballroom Balloons would like to take this opportunity to thank some of the schools that call us each year for their prom decorations including: DeMatha Catholic High School, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Parkdale, and Einstein. We look forward to hearing from some new schools this year as well. To see some of our work for these schools please visit our gallery or slideshow at www.BallroomBalloons.com/slideshow.html. The gallery allows you to pick from 45 balloon categories including #24 which is HOMECOMING AND PROMS.

Good luck to all the graduating seniors (and the juniors lucky enough to go to prom!)

Enjoy,

Stan

April Showers

With this topsy-turvy “spring” weather, we thought it was a good time to say a word about outdoor balloon decorating. While there is little worse than rain to bring down your balloons (and the mood of your guests), AIR-FILLED DECOR AND TOPIARIES are your best bet for long-lasting balloons. Please refer to www.BallroomBalloons.com/faq.html for detailed information about decorating outside.

Arches and columns that are constructed with an inner support structure maintain their design integrity and stay upright even with moderate wind and rain (see www.BallroomBalloons.com/gallery.html categories 23 and 42). Likewise, topiaries, which are flower-like clusters of balloons sway in the wind as a unit; whereas, traditional balloon bouquets which have each balloon on a ribbon, lose their look because individual balloons move in different directions.

Enjoy,

Stan
