BallroomBalloons.com Launches New Web-Site

In Blog, News by Stan Rosen

We’ve been in the balloon business for 20 years; but, today, July 21, 2006, Ballroom Balloons entered the 21st century. The new site was developed by a custom web design business named eNicola.com with help from me, Stan, your friendly neighborhood balloon man. Special thanks go out to Michael Scheinman, designer of Ballroom Balloon’s first site and inspiration for the next generation.

The Gallery section of the site (www.ballroomballoons.com/gallery.html) will go live some time next week. For now, please enjoy the slide show.

The launching of this new site marks the beginning stages of Ballroom Balloons expanding its reach both regionally and globally. For the last several years, we have been steadily decreasing our print advertising in preparation for this day and days to come. With the marketing plan soon to start firing on all cylendars, we hope to dramatically increase Ballroom Balloons reach into cyberspace. If you are new to considering balloon art to decorate your next event, we encourage you to read www.ballroomballoons.com/about.html when you have a moment. The FAQ page at www.ballroomballoons.com/faq.html may also help answer some of your qustions about balloons.

Its not just about more business. Of course, the primary reason for this new interactive web-site is to bring more Clients into our fold. But, with balloon decorating and all the more serious arts, its also about reaching out and spreading joy to more people. So, while we welcome what we hope is a more profitable future, we also relish the idea of making more people happy with and through our work.

Next week I am returning to Athens, GA, home of Ballooniversity (see ballooniversity.com) to participate in the hands-on decorator’s workshop and attend and participate in educational classes and seminars. There I will assist in construction of large scale balloon sculpture, this year’s theme being, “A World of Possibilities”. Who knows, we may re-create the Eifel Tower or Big Ben. In any case, please be sure to look for photos from Ballooniversity in the Gallery under “What’s New in Balloons”.

I will also be entering my first competition at Ballooniversity. Generally, I loathe that sort of thing; but, I am only entering the “Delivery Bouquet” contest, rather than the more exhasting sculpture competitions. Making what I call my “Big Bouquets” for individual recipients (like when I do singing telegrams-see www.ballroomballoons.com/singingtelegrams.html) is something I enjoy quite a bit. Unlike decoration, where a certain uniformity must be adhered to, making one unique arrangement is just pure fun!

Stay tuned for “Report From Balloonvisity” appearing in the first few days of August.

Enjoy,

Stan
